The Flexzie is Michael's favorite flash modifier. Everyone knows that direct flash sucks, but what do you do instead of boofing people in the face with your speedlite? Bouncing your flash is the first step, but as any wedding photographer knows, you just plain can't bounce everywhere -- some rooms are hideous for bouncing. This is where the Flexzie excels. Use it in the standard upright position to kick some nicely softened light forward towards your subject while bouncing light off the ceiling as gentle fill. Or turn your flash head to the side, angle it down towards a bounce-worthy wall, and you have nice, dimensional portrait-like lighting. Or, if you want to get really creative, rotate the Flexzie to be horizontal, reattach it to your flash, and you now have a virtual snoot!
The white reflective side of the Flexzie is designed to turn your flash into a larger, softer light source. The black side of the Flexzie prevents light loss, and more importantly, saves wedding guests and bystanders from "bounced-in-the-face-itis". :)
The soft, flexible 6"x9" foam in the Flexzie won't crack or break, so it will stand up to the rigors of the wedding day. When you're done, just pop it into your camera bag -- it takes up very little space (unlike the "LightBeers" beer cup-like modifiers sold by that other guy). Includes a stretchy band for attaching the Flexzie, wearing on your wrist, or stretching over your 70-200L to keep the autofocus switch from turning off. :D
And the best news of all...it's priced at 1/3 the cost of the Rogue FlashBender and 1/4 the cost of the Lightsphere. As Michael always says, "Buy 3...they're cheap!"
