MoLights in action!

I use a combination of MoLight/Godox AD360s and V850s everyday in my studio. My standard studio lighting setup incorporates 2 AD360s (main and fill) and up to 5 V850s (double edge lights, hair light, background light, uplight). For outdoor portraits I often use just a single AD360 in a 32″ Octa/BD and blend using ambient as accent lighting. The point is that these beautiful lights really can do almost anything. Below I show an example of what I am doing everyday in a typical session. It’s not all award-winning stuff, but it is client-pleasing, money-making work that is the backbone of the business. Yes, I do “wow” stuff with these as well. But it’s the real everyday client work that drives the business. And that’s where these workhorse, dependable flashes really shine. Yes, Virginia, speedlights and battery-powered flashes can get the job done. 🙂
